Jon Henderson MBACP, PG Dip TA

I’m a qualified TA Psychotherapy Practitioner, having trained in psychotherapy and counselling at Wealden College of Psychotherapy in Kent. I hold a postgraduate diploma in TA psychotherapy practise and I am registered and verified by BACP, Psychology Today, the Counselling Directory and UKATA. You can click on any of these links to see my profile on those directories.

I’m also trained in trauma management and trauma recovery and have worked with people with a wide range of mental health presentations including borderline personality disorder (EUPD), bipolar disorder, PTSD and complex PTSD, alcohol addiction, cocaine addiction and other substance and behavioural addictions.

From my own lived experience I have worked in and with 12 Step Programmes since 2006. When working with clients who struggle with alcohol related issues I use a combination of 12 Step principles and psychotherapy practice

I’ve worked in two hospices in Southern England as a grief counsellor and have extensive experience in working with grief, loss and bereavement and I have a very specific interest in working with younger or older adults who have experienced the loss of one or both parents early in their lives.
