Kate Simpson MBACP, PG Dip TA

I’m a qualified TA Psychotherapy Practitioner, having trained in psychotherapy and counselling at Wealden College of Psychotherapy in Kent. I hold a postgraduate diploma in TA psychotherapy practise and I am registered and verified by BACP, Psychology Today, the Counselling Directory and UKATA. You can click on any of these links to see my profile on those directories.

I’m also trained in trauma management and trauma recovery and have worked with people with a wide range of mental health presentations including borderline personality disorder (EUPD), bipolar disorder, PTSD and complex PTSD. I specialise in working with clients who are anxious and feel a sense of anxiety in their lives.

I have trained in and practiced, extensively, meditation and mindfulness and am a teacher of both. I incorporate these skills in my work with anxious and traumatised clients where people’s bodies are heightened, in a state of constant vigilance and would benefit from being able to be calmer and give a sense of well being.

I am trained in the Buddhist traditions of meditation and mindfulness, having been a Director of a Buddhist centre in London.

From my own lived experience I have developed a keen interest in Anxiety Management and recovery and working with people who live with or have been brought up by alcoholics.
